As part of its efforts toward diversification, Carl Pei’s Nothing has been actively involved in a new sub-brand called CMF, short for Colour Material, and Finish.
According to industry insiders, the CMF brand is ready to launch its first ever smartphone dubbed the CMF Phone (1), which is touted to be a more affordable product than Nothing sells under its main brand.
One of the most attractive selling points of the CMF Phone (1) is its highly competitive pricing.
From the information leaked, this entry-level device would cost around Rs 12,000 in the Indian market.
This price sets the CMF Phone (1) as a budget-friendly option, hugely undercutting the Nothing Phone 2a at Rs. 23,999.
Though the CMF Phone (1) may be affordable, it may not compromise on aesthetics.
From industry sources, the device will reportedly feature a plastic body, a practical choice if it is going to be an entry-level smartphone.
However, the front of the phone is said to be made of some sort of Gorilla Glass so that it’s durable yet stylish.
CMF Phone (1) is said to come in three vibrant colors: orange, white, and black, each to one’s preference.
Now, coming to the specifications, there will be a 6.5-inch display on offer for the CMF Phone (1).
Though there is not enough information on the camera specifications, there has been word about the fact that it is going to boast a single rear camera with the possibility of a second camera added as well.
The CMF Phone (1) will pack a MediaTek Dimensity 5G chipset although unclear exactly which one.
Software-wise, it will run Nothing OS; however, it remains a question if all features will be available.
The company is said to offer three years of OS upgrades and four years of security updates to ensure long-term support and peace of mind for users.
Finally, addressing one of the most crucial aspects of any smartphone, the CMF Phone (1) is rumoured to house a substantial 5000mAh battery, promising extended usage between charges.
Additionally, the device is expected to support 33W fast charging.
The CMF Phone (1) is rumoured to be priced at Rs 12,000 in India, positioning it as a cost-effective option for budget-conscious consumers.
The CMF Phone (1) is rumoured to have a plastic body complemented by a Gorilla Glass front, balancing affordability with durability and style.
Speculations suggest the CMF Phone (1) will boast a MediaTek Dimensity 5G chipset, ensuring competitive performance and connectivity for its price range.
The device is expected to be equipped with a 5000mAh battery, supporting 33W fast charging, aimed at providing extensive usage times and quick recharges.
