After officially launching Apple Self Service Repair Store in the US, it has announced to expand the self-service repair to additional countries. Apple has confirmed to start the expansion from Europe later this year. Self Service Repair is aimed to further expand access to repairs.

Under its self-service repair programme, Apple provides repair manuals and genuine Apple parts and tools. Apple will provide more than 200 individual parts and tools through self-service repair programme. The launch of self-service repair programme enables customers who are experienced with the complexities of repairing electronic devices to complete repairs on the iPhone 12 and iPhone 13 lineups and iPhone SE (3rd generation).

Customers will be able to complete repairs of the display, battery, and camera. Apple will also include manuals, parts, and tools to perform repairs on Mac computers with Apple silicon later this year. The high-quality tools offered through Self Service Repair include torque drivers, repair trays, display and battery presses, and more. These are custom designed to help provide the best repairs for Apple products. They are engineered to withstand the rigors of high-volume, professional repair operations where safety and reliability are the utmost priority.

How to avail the service

To avail the Apple Self Service Repair a customer will first review the repair manual for the product they want to repair by visiting support.apple.com/self-service-repair and order the necessary parts and tools as per their requirement.

Rental kits

Apple will charge $49 to offer tool rental kits. Customers need not to pay anything for weeklong rental kits. It will be shipped to customers for free.
