Instagram has been constantly updating its features to improve user’s experience. Reportedly, the Meta-owned photo sharing app is working on a new feature to allow its users to pin their post on top of their page or profile. Facebook, another Meta-owned platform and Twitter already have this feature.

Pinning a post is a great way to feature an important announcement or highlight some of your best content to your followers and friends.

Having pinned post feature will allow creators and other professionals to highlight some of their best work on the top of their profiles. The addition of ‘pinned post’ feature will not force visitors to scroll through many posts searching for what they want. The ‘pinned post feature’ will make Instagram feed more of a ‘portfolio’ for artists to showcase their best and most relevant work.

Instagram is yet to share any confirmed update on when the feature will go live for everyone. Many a time, Instagram releases new features for users of limited countries and regions before others. It means Indian users may have to wait longer to get this feature in their profile on Instagram. Currently, India is home to 230.25 million Instagram users, the largest audience pool in the world.
