Apple to drop a fifth-generation iPad Air, including an A15 Bionic chip, 12MP Ultra Wide front camera with Center Stage support to keep your focus on the move, quad-LED true tone flash, and 5G for cellular models. It is likely to be dropped with the third-generation iPhone SE in the coming spring of 2022.

Design, Specs & Features

The latest iPad Air isn’t expected to have any significant changes in the overall design, the report adds. The current model was released in October 2020, and it features a 10.9-inch display with slim bezels, a Touch ID power button, and a USB-C port. It is available in various colour options such as Space Gray, Silver, Green, Rose Gold, and Sky Blue.

In a statement, Apple analyst Ming-Chi Kuo has added that the iPhone will transition from the iPad Air to OLED displays in the latter half of this year. Apple currently uses OLED displays in the Apple watches and iPhones. On the contrary, Macs and iPad still have LCD technology.

The first device where Apple is adopting OLED displays will be a 10.9-inch iPad. Additionally, the next few devices to have OLED displays include the 12.9-inch iPad Pro and the 16-inch MacBook Pro.

The first event of Apple is likely to take place in March or April, just the usual, and according to sources, the new iPad Air and iPhone SE models could be announced at that event, added MacRumors.
