A new Redmi smartphone with the model number 25078RA3EL has just been certified by the FCC, hinting at an upcoming budget-friendly launch. Interestingly, a Poco phone with a similar model number has also appeared on the EEC certification site, suggesting the two could be closely related or possibly rebranded versions of the same device.
According to the FCC listing first revealed in a Xpertpick report, the Redmi phone with model number 25078RA3EL won’t support 5G, but it will include Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and LTE connectivity. It’s also set to run on HyperOS 2.2 out of the box.

Meanwhile, the Poco phone spotted on the EEC with model number 25078PC3EG seems to share the same base model. It’s likely this device is a rebranded version of the Redmi model.
The “2507” in both model numbers suggests these phones could launch in July this year. However, the official marketing names for either device haven’t been confirmed yet.
With a few weeks still to go before the expected launch window, more certifications and leaks could reveal additional details. We will have to wait for updates on these upcoming Redmi and Poco phones.
