Motorola appears to be working on another smartphone powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset. The upcoming device is reportedly called the Moto One and has now surfaced on the Wireless Power Consortium (WPC) certification website and Geekbench database. The listings reveal some details about its design, wireless charging capabilities and processor. Here’s what we know so far.

Motorola Moto One Appears on WPC Certification

The upcoming Motorola Moto One carrying the model number XT2771-1 has appeared on the WPC certification database. The listing identifies the smartphone as Moto One and also provides a look at its design with renders.

The phone is shown in a dark green finish with a flat-looking display and a centrally positioned punch-hole cutout for the selfie camera. At the back, it features a square camera module with four circular elements arranged in a 2×2 layout.

The WPC certification also confirms Qi EPP support with up to 15W wireless charging. However, the certification does not reveal whether the Moto One will support faster proprietary wireless charging.

Motorola Moto One Geekbench Listing Reveals Snapdragon 8 Gen 5

The Motorola Moto One has also appeared on Geekbench to reveal processor and some performance details. According to the listing, the smartphone is powered by Qualcomm’s SM8845 chipset that corresponds to the Snapdragon 8 Gen 5.

The processor features an octa-core CPU with two cores clocked at 3.80GHz and six cores running at 3.32GHz. The listing also mentions an Adreno 829 GPU. It shows 10.9GB of available memory, suggesting that the tested device could be a 12GB RAM variant. On the software front, it is listed as running Android 16.

Here’s a look at its reported benchmark scores:

Geekbench Test Score
Single-Core 2,109
Multi-Core 8,586
Processor Snapdragon 8 Gen 5
GPU Adreno 829
Available Memory 10.9GB, could be 12GB
Operating System Android 16

Motorola Moto One: What the Chipset Suggests

The Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 could give the Motorola Moto One a strong performance foundation and positions the smartphone in the premium segment. The chipset sits below Qualcomm’s flagship Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 but is still designed to deliver high-end performance.

Notably, the same Snapdragon 8 Gen 5 chipset powers the Motorola Signature, which was launched in India at a starting price of Rs 59,999.

This suggests that the Moto One could offer a flagship-level processor without necessarily competing directly with smartphones powered by Qualcomm’s more expensive Elite-series chipsets.  It is worth noting that the Geekbench scores are from an early test listing and should not be treated as an indication of the phone’s final performance.

Motorola Moto One Specifications: What We Know So Far

Motorola has not officially revealed the complete specifications of the Moto One yet. However, the WPC and Geekbench listings provide a few details about the upcoming smartphone.

The WPC listing identifies the device as Moto One but it is still not certain if Motorola will use this name. The brand previously had the Motorola One series in 2018 and currently there is no confirmation that it plans to revive the lineup.

The model number XT2771-1 had appeared in an earlier Motorola device-tracking list published by Japanese publication S-MAX in September 2026. The smartphone was linked with the internal codename Pike26 in the list.
