iQOO is preparing to launch its next-generation Neo series, iQOO Neo 12, in China on October 28, 2026. Ahead of its debut, the company has revealed several key features including its processor, display specifications, battery capacity, and charging capabilities. Here’s more on what we know so far.
iQOO Neo 12 Display Specifications Revealed
2K OLED Screen With 185Hz Refresh Rate
The iQOO Neo 12 is confirmed to feature a 2K-resolution display with a refresh rate of up to 185Hz. The high refresh rate is expected to deliver smoother scrolling, animations, and supported games compared with conventional 120Hz smartphone displays.
The screen will also offer a 500Hz multi-touch sampling rate and a 5,000Hz instantaneous touch sampling rate. These specifications are aimed at improving touch responsiveness, particularly in fast-paced games where quick reactions are important.
The display will also support Q-Flex control technology, although the company has not provided further details about how the feature works.
Visionox Panel With 4th-Generation pTSF Technology
The iQOO Neo 12’s display will use fourth-generation pTSF technology, according to the company. The smartphone is also promoted as the industry’s first to feature Sky Mirror luminescent material, which is claimed to deliver 18% higher luminous efficiency than its predecessor.
The display technology is intended to improve light-emitting efficiency while maintaining the screen’s brightness and visual quality.
Up to 4,500 Nits Local Peak Brightness
The iQOO Neo 12’s display brightness specifications require some clarification. The leaked details reveal a peak brightness of 4,500 nits.
Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 and Q3 Gaming Chip
The iQOO Neo 12 will be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, an octa-core processor built on a 3nm process. The company has also confirmed a dedicated Q3 gaming chip.
The combination is expected to focus on gaming performance, graphics processing, and display optimisation. The dedicated gaming chip could help handle certain gaming-related tasks separately from the main processor, although the exact division of workloads has not been detailed.
The phone will be available in three colour options, which are Contest, Shadow Black, and Frost Blade Blue.
iQOO Neo 12 Gaming Features and Performance Enhancements
Along with its high-refresh-rate display and dedicated Q3 gaming chip, the phone is expected to offer features designed to improve graphics quality, touch response, and overall gameplay.
The company has also highlighted its 9,000mAh Blue Ocean Battery, which uses fifth-generation Silicon Anode Technology and offers an energy density of up to 916Wh/L. The battery supports 100W wired fast charging and Global Direct Drive Power Supply 2.0.
According to iQOO, the phone can deliver up to 11.6 hours of Multiplayer Online Battle Arena (MOBA) gaming or up to 29.9 hours of short-form video playback on a single charge.

iQOO has confirmed that the Neo 12 will launch in China on October 28, 2026, at 7pm local time, which is 4:30pm IST.
Pre-orders for the smartphone have already opened in China through the Vivo online store.
