Although Vivo has yet to officially acknowledge the Vivo S2 FE, we already have the upcoming smartphone appearing on three certification platforms.
As per the latest reports, the Vivo S2 FE has appeared on the Geekbench benchmarking platform, giving an early look at its performance and key specifications. The listing comes shortly after the phone was recently spotted on the Bluetooth SIG and BIS certification databases in India. Here’s more on what we know based on its recent appearance.
Vivo S2 FE Spotted On Geekbench Listing
According to the Geekbench listing details shared by tipster Anvin @ZionsAnvin on X, the Vivo S2 FE with model number V2640 scored 868 points in the single-core test and 2,887 points in the multi-core test. The phone is listed with MediaTek’s MT6858 processor featuring four cores clocked at 2.00GHz and four cores running at 2.50GHz. The listing also mentions a Mali-G610 MC2 GPU.
These clock speeds are similar to those of the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, suggesting that the chipset could be used in the Vivo S2 FE. However, Vivo has not confirmed the processor details yet.
The Geekbench listing also reveals that the phone could run Android 16 and come with 6GB of RAM. This may only be one of the memory configurations planned for the device, meaning Vivo could offer the S2 FE in other RAM and storage variants as well.
Is Vivo S2 FE Rebranded Vivo V80 Lite 5G?
Some reports speculated that the Vivo S2 FE could be the rebranded version of Vivo V80 Lite 5G for the Indian market. The latter was launched in Malaysia with a large 10,000mAh battery. Although the connection between the Vivo S2 FE and Vivo V80 Lite 5G remains unconfirmed, if it is indeed true, we can definitely expect similar specs.
The Vivo V80 Lite 5G features a 6.84-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. It also comes with a 50-megapixel rear camera and a 32-megapixel front camera, while supporting 44W fast charging. The phone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 7300e, which matches the chipset indicated by the Vivo S2 FE’s Geekbench listing.
Anyhow, Vivo has yet to officially announce the S2 FE or reveal its complete specifications. As for the launch timeline, the brand has also not revealed when the phone will be launched. Vivo launched the Vivo S2 in India last month and the S2 FE is expected to join the series as its next model.
