Vivo is reportedly gearing up for several upcoming launches scheduled for the coming weeks. The upcoming Vivo V80 and Vivo S2 FE have now received certification from India’s Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS), suggesting that their India launch could be getting closer. At the same time, Vivo has shared new information about its upcoming Buds Clip earphones and teased some of the changes coming with OriginOS 7.
Vivo V80 and S2 FE Receive BIS Certification

Two Vivo smartphones carrying model numbers V2640 and V2648 have been approved by BIS. The V2640 has previously been linked to the Vivo S2 FE, with its Bluetooth SIG certification confirming the marketing name.
The V2648, meanwhile, belongs to the Vivo V80. Its identity has already surfaced through certifications in Thailand, Malaysia and Indonesia including NBTC, SIRIM and SDPPI approvals.
The smartphones are expected to be launched in the country as early as October.
Vivo V80 Could Debut With OriginOS 7 and Android 17 in India
The Vivo V80 could have a notable software distinction when it arrives in India. It is expected to become the country’s first smartphone to run OriginOS 7 based on Android 17.

The phone is also tipped to target creators with several AI-powered camera features. Its camera setup could include a 50MP telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom along with 10x portrait zoom and 4K cinematic video recording support.
Another major highlight could be its 7,200mAh battery, which is expected to be the largest battery capacity offered on a Vivo V-series smartphone.
Vivo S2 FE Expected Specifications
The Vivo S2 FE is speculated to be a rebranded version of the Vivo V80 Lite 5G, which was launched in Malaysia with a 10,000mAh battery.
The expected specifications include a 6.84-inch 1.5K AMOLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate, a MediaTek Dimensity 7300e chipset, a 50MP rear camera, a 32MP camera and 44W fast charging support. The phone’s reported 10,000mAh battery would be one of its major highlights.
Vivo Buds Clip – New Colour Options and OS Revealed
Vivo is also preparing its Buds Clip earphones, which will be introduced in China alongside the upcoming Vivo X500 series and Vivo Watch 6 on September 21. The Buds Clip will be available in Floating Purple, Moonlight White and Starry Night Black.
Vivo says the Floating Purple version uses a shimmering high-gloss finish, while the Moonlight White variant gets a warm pearlescent sheen combined with a mother-of-pearl texture. The Starry Night Black edition takes inspiration from Parisian studded patterns and uses clean geometric lines.
Upcoming OriginOS 7 Teased
Vivo is also set to officially introduce OriginOS 7 at the Vivo Developer Conference 2026. The new software version will introduce a fresh light-and-shadow visual design with Vivo highlighting a smoother and more responsive experience.
It will also bring more personalisation options through themes and wallpapers such as AI-powered pet themes, liquid themes and flash card themes, along with an atomic sticker library.
