5G Download Speed in India 16.5 Times Faster than 4G

5G Services have been officially launched in India in October 2022, which are being well received from all quarters, but now it is has come out that its download speed in India is 16.5 times faster in comparison to 4G.

This speed was detected in October itself and even the makers were astonished as to how quickly it outperformed 4G where the average mobile speed was 242.1mbps, which has enhanced users’ mobile experience to a whole new level.

5G Download Speed 16.5 Times Faster than 4G in India

5G Services were officially launched in India on October 28, 2022, by Prime Minister Narendra Modi at the Indian Mobile Congress (IMC) in New Delhi, which saw many people from the tech industry grace the occasion in large numbers, including politicians from the central government.

Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio, two of the biggest telecom companies in India, have taken the task of spreading 5G services throughout the country and while the task of widespread availability is yet to be achieved, those who’ve been privileged to have it are reaping numerous benefits from 5G technology.

Many users have claimed, in no uncertain terms, that their mobile experience has been enhanced to a whole new level ever since 5G became available in India, where they are continuing to discover new things about the technology.

Now, it has been confirmed that the 5G Download speed was 16.5 times faster in India than 4G in October 2022 itself, where it was found out that 5G users recorded an average mobile speed of 242.1Mbps, a truly remarkable feat, while 4G had an average speed of 14.7Mbps.

The top 2% of the users are able to enjoy peak download speeds after graduating from 4G to 5G, which is quite impressive, while the top download speed for 5G in the country was 690.6Mbps, which is a staggering 11.6 times faster than the peak 4G download speed.

5G Download Speed Provides Improvement in Multiplayer Gaming & Video Streaming

Indian users have experienced a massive improvement in video streaming when they switched over to 5G, which is 65-75, classified as ‘Very Good’, while 4G video streaming scored ‘Fair’ at 40-55, considered much worse.

In addition, mobile multiplayer gamers too have notably better gaming experience with 5G than with 4G, where they had a ‘Fair’ (65-75) gaming experience once they had 5G, following which they scored 67.9 (out of 100), which reduced to 40-65 (Poor) when connecting to 4G.
