Xiaomi has launched the Xiaomi Pad 8 in India, claiming it to be the “India’s Slimmest Flagship Android tablet of 2026, bringing powerful computing into a form factor designed for life on the move”. The tablet includes a dedicated Workstation Mode, which the company says is designed to support more focused and efficient workflows. Here are more details, starting with price and availability.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 price in India starts at Rs. 33,999 for the 8GB RAM + 128GB storage variant. The 12GB RAM + 256GB storage model is priced at Rs. 36,999.
Xiaomi is also offering a Nano Texture display version with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage priced at Rs. 38,999. Additionally, the company has introduced a Creator’s Edition priced at Rs. 41,999, while the Nano Texture Creator’s Edition costs Rs. 43,999.
As part of launch offers, customers can get an instant bank discount of Rs. 3,000 on SBI credit card EMI transactions and Rs. 2,750 on full swipe payments. With these offers, the effective starting price drops to Rs. 30,999. The bank offer will remain valid until March 31, 2026.
Sales will begin on March 17 at 12 pm IST through Amazon, the Xiaomi India website, Xiaomi retail stores and partner outlets across the country.
Customers purchasing the tablet between March 17 and March 31 will also receive an additional one-year warranty, excluding the battery.
The tablet will be available in Graphite Grey and Titanium Blue colour options.
Xiaomi has also announced accessories for the tablet. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Cover is priced at Rs. 1,499. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Keyboard costs Rs. 4,999, while the Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro stylus is priced at Rs. 5,999. The Xiaomi Pad 8 Focus Keyboard is priced at Rs. 8,999.
All accessories will be available starting March 17 through Amazon, the Xiaomi India website, and Xiaomi retail stores.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 features an 11.2-inch 3.2K display with a resolution of 3,200 × 2,136 pixels and a pixel density of 345ppi. The screen supports up to a 144Hz refresh rate and offers peak brightness of 800 nits.
It also supports Dolby Vision, HDR10, and the DCI-P3 colour gamut. The display carries TÜV Rheinland certifications for Low Blue Light, Flicker Free, and Circadian Friendly viewing. Buyers can choose between a standard glossy display or a Nano Texture version designed to reduce glare and reflections.
The tablet is powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 4 mobile platform built on a 4nm process. It features an octa-core CPU with one Cortex-X4 core clocked at up to 3.2GHz and an Adreno 825 GPU.
The device is available with 8GB LPDDR5X RAM and 12GB LPDDR5T RAM options, along with up to 256GB of UFS 4.1 onboard storage.
The tablet runs HyperOS 3 and supports several AI-powered features including AI writing assistance, AI creation tools, and live AI subtitles. It also includes Workstation Mode designed for multitasking and PC-like browsing capabilities.
For photography and video calls, the Xiaomi Pad 8 includes a 13-megapixel rear camera with an f/2.2 aperture that supports 4K video recording at 30fps. On the front, the tablet features an 8-megapixel camera capable of recording 1080p video at 30fps.
The device is equipped with a quad-speaker setup supporting Dolby Atmos and Hi-Res audio. It also supports audio formats such as MP3, FLAC, AAC, OGG, and WAV.
Connectivity options include Wi-Fi 7, Wi-Fi 6E, Wi-Fi Direct, Miracast, and USB Type-C with USB 3.2 Gen 1 support. It also supports Bluetooth audio codecs such as LDAC and LHDC 5.0.
The tablet includes several sensors including an accelerometer, gyroscope, proximity sensor, flicker sensor, magnetic sensor, RGB LED, and ambient light sensors. For security, it offers AI-based face unlock.
The Xiaomi Pad 8 packs a 9,200mAh battery with support for 45W fast charging. It also supports multiple charging standards including PD 3.0 and QC 3.0.
In terms of dimensions, the tablet measures 251.22 × 173.42 × 5.75 mm and weighs 485 grams.
The Xiaomi Focus Pen Pro stylus supports more than 16,000 levels of pressure sensitivity and offers features such as ultra-low latency, rotation support, haptic feedback, hover preview, and a buttonless design. The tablet also supports keyboard accessories that provide a laptop-style typing experience.
