According to the official teasers released in China, one of the key highlights of Xiaomi Pad 7S Pro is going to be the inclusion of the Xring O1 chip. It is the same custom chip found in the recently launched Xiaomi Pad 7 Ultra.
Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Pad 7S Pro will feature a 12.5-inch LCD display and pack a large 12,160mAh battery with support for 120W fast charging. It will run on HyperOS 2.0, based on Android 15 and promises a more PC-like user experience.
The tablet will also support the Xiaomi Pen stylus and has a slim, sleek body measuring just 5.8mm thick. While Xiaomi hasn’t shared all the specs yet, it’s expected that the Pad 7S Pro will compete with the Apple iPad Air series.
Official images show off a premium all-metal unibody design with four-sided narrow bezels and rounded corners. It also comes with a new floating keyboard accessory, which appears similar to the one that launched with the Pad 7 Ultra.
The keyboard features a high-precision metal hinge for added stability and includes a large built-in trackpad, giving users a more laptop-like experience.
Another interesting addition is rear car mounting support, which wasn’t available on the Pad 7 Ultra. This makes the Pad 7S Pro more practical for in-car use, especially when paired with the Xring O1 platform.
Meanwhile, Xiaomi’s sub-brand Redmi is also expected to launch the Redmi K80 Ultra and a new Redmi K Pad, a compact gaming-focused tablet, around the same time. The Pad 7S Pro might debut alongside these products at the upcoming launch event.
