Xiaomi confirmed earlier this month that Mix Fold 3 will arrive in August and will be the first device, built on a new manufacturing line with improved design to ensure the strength of the foldable’s body.

Today, the official Weibo profile of the company confirmed the report once again, and added that Xiaomi and Leica developed a new solution for an “optical full-focus quad-cam setup”. This means that the Mix Fold 3 will have four shooters instead of three seen in both its predecessors.

Xiaomi has officially confirmed today that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will launch in China next month i.e. August.
However, the company has not explicitly revealed the launch date. At the same time, Leica has shared some details regarding the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3.

As per details shared by Leica, the upcoming Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will feature a Leica optical full-focus quad camera module.
The device will have a thin and strong structure as well as multiple lenses with excellent performance ranging from ultra-wide angle to periscope ultra-telephoto.

Xiaomi MIX Fold 3 will be released in August.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 was spotted at the 3C certification recently.
The certification revealed that the device will have 67W fast charging support. The previous leaks suggest that the handset will pack a 4,800mAh battery, and it will even support 50W wireless charging. The smartphone has recently received the MIIT certification as well.

Previously, Xiaomi President Lui Weibing also revealed that the company has launched a new smart factory in Beijing, and the first device that will be manufactured at this unit will be the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3.

Lui Weibing also revealed that there are newer upgrades in terms of the manufacturing system which will ensure that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 is stronger and thinner.

The past leak also suggests that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will flaunt a 50MP Sony IMX858 sensor and an in-display fingerprint sensor. The smartphone might be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 2 SoC.

The other details of the handset such as RAM, storage configuration, and display size remain unknown. We can expect to learn more information about the device if it arrives on TENAA certification or benchmark listing in the coming few days.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 3 will be arriving as a successor to the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2. To recall, the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 features a 6.56-inch AMOLED display on the outer side.
The display panel has a 1080 x 2520 pixels resolution, a 21:9 ratio, 120Hz refresh rate, and Corning Gorilla Glass Victus protection.

The smartphone features an 8.02-inch display on the inner side which has a 1914 x 2160 pixels resolution, 360 PPI pixel density, and 1300 nits brightness. The device is powered by a Snapdragon 8+ Gen 1 SoC.

The handset packs up to 12GB of RAM and 1TB of internal storage. It features a triple-camera setup which consists of a 50MP primary camera, 8MP telephoto lens, and a 13MP ultra-wide sensor.

The other key features that the Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 offer includes a 20MP selfie camera, a 4,500mAh battery, 67W fast charging, side-mounted fingerprint sensor and stereo speaker support.

Currently, only vivo and Huawei have foldables with four cameras on the back, and both have the same combination we expect to see from Xiaomi – wide, ultrawide and 2 telephoto cameras, one with a periscope lens behind. Details on the specs of Xiaomi’s implementation are yet to be released, though.

The Xiaomi Mix Fold 2 was the thinnest foldable at the time of its launch, while the Mix Fold was the first such device with 67W fast charging.

One thing Xiaomi is yet to do with the Fold series is to launch them internationally, and we hope the third time is the charm, even if earlier rumors suggested it won’t happen.

The phone is classified as a 5G digital mobile phone and will support various network connections, including 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G, as well as eMBB technology support.
Dual SIM dual standby and 5G network roaming capabilities are also expected.

The device has been listed as a 5G digital mobile phone and its remarks mention that it will support 5G, 4G, 3G, and 2G network connectivity along with the eMBB(enhanced mobile broadband) technology support. It has also been mentioned that the device is a dual SIM card – dual standby mobile phone running on the Android-based operating system with 5G roaming across networks.

About two weeks back, the upcoming foldable device had also received the 3C certification from China and had appeared on the certification database with the same model number of 2308CPXD0C.
