Xiaomi’s upcoming clamshell foldable phone, the Mix Flip, has appeared on Taiwan’s National Communications Commission (NCC) website.
This listing provides new information about the device’s battery and charging capabilities.
The NCC listing, identified by the model number 2405CPX3DG, suggests the Mix Flip will feature 67W fast charging.
Interestingly, the listing reveals that the Mix Flip may use a dual battery configuration.
The two cells are reported to have capacities of 1,145mAh and 3,595mAh.
This split battery design is common in foldable phones, allowing for better weight distribution and a thinner profile when folded.
A tipster on Weibo has provided additional information about the Mix Flip’s battery.
According to this source, the total battery capacity could be 4,700mAh. This figure is slightly lower than the previously rumoured 4,900mAh capacity.
Previous leaks have suggested some additional specifications for the Mix Flip.
It’s expected to feature a 1.5K resolution display and be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 processor.
The rear camera setup is rumoured to include a 50MP OV50E main sensor and a 60MP OV60A secondary sensor with 2x optical zoom.
A 32MP front-facing camera is also expected.
The NCC listing also includes several live images of the Mix Flip. These images show a vertically aligned dual camera setup on the cover display.
The main foldable display appears to have a centrally aligned hole-punch cutout for the front-facing camera.
Xiaomi branding is visible at the bottom of the device.
It’s worth noting that these images may be of a prototype device and not necessarily representative of the final product.
The Mix Flip has been spotted on several certification websites, including Thailand’s National Broadcasting and Telecommunications Commission, IMEI database, and TUV certification database.
All these listings use the same model number, 2405CPX3DG.
Xiaomi has confirmed that the Mix Flip will launch later this month alongside the Mix Fold 4.
These devices will be the first to be produced at Xiaomi’s new Smart Factory in Changping, Beijing.
The company plans to release these phones in markets outside of China.
The exact launch date for the Mix Flip has not yet been announced, but with the device appearing on certification websites, an official reveal is likely imminent.
