Xiaomi India elevates Muralikrishna B as its new president

Xiaomi India announced the elevation of Muralikrishnan B as the new president. Earlier, Muralikrishnan served Xiaomi India as its CEO in 2018. He was considered very instrumental in the brand’s growth across offline sales, services, and operations during his tenure. Muralikrishnan has succeeded Manu Kumar Jain, who from now will head the global division of Xiaomi.

His appointment to the position has come as part of internal leadership changes. Before Muralikrishnan, Xiaomi announced the appointment of Alvin Tse as the General Manager of their Indian branch. Tse was appointed as the General Manager of Xiaomi India last month.

According to the company, he will be responsible for day-to-day operations, services, public affairs, and strategic projects.  Muralikrishnan will continue to work towards strengthening the company’s commitment to the Make in India and Digital India initiative, stated Xiaomi in a statement issued by the company. His appointment to the post will come into effect from August 1, 2022.

In addition to Muralikrishnan, Xiaomi India’s team consists of Raghu Reddy (Chief Business Officer), Sameer BS Rao (Chief Financial Officer), and Anuj Sharma (Chief Marketing Officer), who made his move back to Xiaomi India from Poco India last month.

Recent Xiaomi products 

Xiaomi recently unveiled its flagship series- the Xiaomi 12S series. Under the 12s series, Xiaomi launched three shiny variants namely, the Xiaomi 12S, Xiaomi 12S Pro and the Xiaomi 12S Ultra.

With the Xiaomi 12S Ultra being the top-of-the-line offering, the whole 12S series will come with Leica-tuned cameras. Furthermore, the 12S Ultra features a 1-inch camera sensor.

The base variant of the 12S flagship series features a 6.28-inch Full HD+ AMOLED display paired with a 120Hz refresh rate support for smooth multitasking. The device also sports a hole-punch cut-out at the top centre to house the front camera. Furthermore, it will feature 1500 nits of peak brightness so that you won’t miss colour in the bright sunlight as well. It might also layer a Gorilla Glass Victus for screen protection.
