Lei mentioned that the Xiaomi 15 series will bring major improvements in design, power efficiency, and user experience. However, these upgrades come with a slight price increase compared to previous models.

This is mainly due to the upgraded 3nm process technology and higher RAM and ROM costs in the supply chain. Lei further assured that the Xiaomi 15 series still offers great value.

Lei also confirmed that the base model of the Xiaomi 15 series will now start with 12GB of RAM up from the previous 8GB to boost on-device AI performance.

Xiaomi 15 series – Display Technology

Xiaomi also provided insights into the display tech of the Xiaomi 15 series, which will use a custom M9 luminous material with a dual micro-cavity structure. This new panel aims to improve brightness efficiency while reducing power usage.

According to Lei, the Xiaomi 15 series manages to achieve “2K screen to 1.5K screen power consumption,” with more details to be revealed during the event.

Update on Xiaomi SU7 Shipping

Lei Jun also provided a delivery update for the Xiaomi SU7, aiming to ship 20,000 units within the first month.
