Xiaomi 18 Global Launch Variant Appears On NCC Listing, 100W Charging Confirmed via TÜV

Highlights

  • Xiaomi 18 global variant spotted on Taiwan’s NCC certification, confirming 256GB/512GB storage and IP68 durability.
  • TÜV Rheinland cross-check reveals bundled charger supports 100W wired fast charging, making it a key highlight of the upcoming flagship.
  • Early NCC listing suggests Xiaomi may shorten the gap between China and global launches, possibly debuting Xiaomi 18 and 18 Ultra together in December.

Xiaomi is preparing to bring its next flagship phone to the global markets earlier than usual. The global version of the Xiaomi 18 has reportedly appeared on Taiwan’s NCC certification platform and revealed several details about its storage, durability and charging capabilities. The listing comes ahead of the expected China debut of the Xiaomi 18 series this month.

Xiaomi 18 spotted on Taiwan NCC Certification and TUV Platform

Xiaomi 18 global variant appears in NCC database.

The Xiaomi 18 global variant has reportedly been listed on Taiwan’s NCC database with the model number 2611FPNFAG. This same model had earlier appeared on Europe’s EEC certification platform in July. However, neither certification listing directly mentions the Xiaomi 18 name.

The NCC listing suggests that the phone will be offered with 256GB and 512GB storage configurations. The usable storage is reportedly at least 198GB on the 256GB version and 469GB on the 512GB model.

The phone is also expected to have an IP68 rating, which would provide protection against dust and water.

The certification also mentions the charger that will be supplied with the phone and carries the model number MDY-19-EX.

According to a cross-check with the charger’s TÜV Rheinland certification, it supports 100W wired charging. This would make fast charging one of the notable features of the global Xiaomi 18, alongside its flagship-level hardware.

Xiaomi’s previous-generation standard flagship, the Xiaomi 17, appeared on Taiwan’s NCC database towards the end of October 2025. The phone eventually received its international launch in February 2026.

The Xiaomi 18 showing up on the same certification platform more than a month earlier could mean that Xiaomi is getting the global version ready sooner this time. While certification alone does not confirm a launch date, the earlier appearance could be a sign of a shorter gap between the China and global launches.

Xiaomi 18 May Launch Globally With the 18 Ultra

The expected China launch timeline could also explain why the global Xiaomi 18 might arrive earlier than usual. Reports have claimed that Xiaomi could initially introduce only the Xiaomi 18 Pro and Xiaomi 18 Pro Max in China this month.

The standard Xiaomi 18 is reportedly expected to arrive later alongside the Xiaomi 18 Ultra in December. If that happens, Xiaomi could potentially use a single global launch event in December to introduce the Xiaomi 18 and Xiaomi 18 Ultra across international markets as well as China.

For now, Xiaomi has not officially confirmed this launch plan. However, the early NCC certification of the global Xiaomi 18 suggests that preparations are going on for a global release.
