Xiaomi is gearing up to launch its next-generation flagship Xiaomi smartphones and the teasers have started surfacing. Just days before the official unveiling, the company has shared high-resolution promotional images of the entire Xiaomi 17 lineup, while a hands-on video has surfaced showcasing all available colour options. Here’s what we know based on recent teasers and leaks.

Official images posted by the brand on the Chinese app Weibo give us a clear look at design refinements across the lineup.

The standard Xiaomi 17 is pictured in white and sky blue colours. Unlike the Pro models, it does not feature a secondary rear display. It rather adopts a new rounded-square camera island, replacing the sharper design of the Xiaomi 15.
The camera sensors now protrude slightly, resembling recent iPhone models, while the phone itself embraces more rounded edges for a softer overall look.

The Xiaomi 17 Pro is shown in Cold Smoke Purple, while the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max debuts in Forest Green. Both Pro variants ditch last year’s micro-quad curved panels in favor of completely flat displays, aligning their overall aesthetic with the base model.
On the back, the Pro and Pro Max integrate the Magic Back Screen directly into the camera module. Two of the camera lenses protrude slightly, while the third sits flush with the surface. Xiaomi says this extra display can be used for notifications, selfie previews, clocks, and more.
The images further confirm Xiaomi’s ongoing partnership with Leica for camera optimisation, a collaboration that continues to define its flagship devices.

Adding to the buzz, a Xiaomi executive shared a hands-on video showing 12 devices lined up, offering the best look yet at the full set of colors.
From the video, the standard Xiaomi 17 appears in four shades, while the Pro and Pro Max are each available in three colors. Xiaomi has yet to reveal the official colour names, but based on past launches, we can expect a mix of timeless finishes and possibly some special edition models later on.
Xiaomi has also confirmed that the Xiaomi 17 will feature a 6.3-inch flat display with ultra-slim 1.18mm bezels and a 19.6:9 aspect ratio. Weighing in at just 191 grams, the phone is designed to feel lightweight and comfortable in daily use.
All models in the series will be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, which promises improved performance and AI capabilities.
Additional details such as battery specifications, HyperOS 3 software features, and global release plans are expected to be revealed at the launch event.
The upcoming lineup includes the Xiaomi 17, Xiaomi 17 Pro, and Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, all set to debut on September 25. This is earlier than last year’s Xiaomi 15 and 15 Pro launch, which happened in late October. The shift suggests that Xiaomi wants to secure an early advantage in what promises to be a competitive flagship season.
Interestingly, the company is skipping the “16” branding altogether, moving straight from the 15 to the 17 series, likely to keep in step with Apple’s iPhone 17 naming.
As of now, Xiaomi hasn’t confirmed its international rollout strategy. It remains uncertain whether all three models will launch globally, or which markets will get them first.
Still, with the official reveal just days away, fans now have a comprehensive idea of what to expect, showing that Xiaomi is focusing as much on design innovation as it is on powerful hardware this year.
