Vivo has revised the price of its budget Y-series smartphone, the Y16 in India. The company launched the Y16 4G last year in September. The handset packs some entry-level specifications, such as a MediaTek Helio P35 SoC, an HD+ display, etc.

It was launched in India for Rs 12,499. Nearly nine months after the launch, the company dropped the price of the Y16 4G by Rs 500. The revised price of the Vivo Y16 4G will be applicable from June 1 in India.

The Y16 sports a flat frame design. The device comes with a polycarbonate frame and body. Vivo launched the device in two colour options in India.

The phone packs 4GB of RAM and 64GB of storage in India. Following its Rs 500 discount, the Y16 4G is available for Rs 11,999 in India.

The Vivo smartphone is available in two colour options — Gold and Black.

As mentioned above, the Y16 4G packs budget smartphone specifications. It features an IPS LCD panel with a waterdrop notch at the top for the front camera. There is also an entry-level MediaTek SoC with a fairly big battery under the hood.

The phone offers support for storage expansion via a microSD card slot. Also, there is support for Extended RAM up to 1GB. The phone competes against the likes of the Moto G22, Realme C35, Redmi 11 Prime, etc.
