Vivo has expanded its smartphone lineup with the introduction of the Vivo Y100i 5G in China.
This new addition comes with a Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC, distinguishing it in the market.
The phone has been assigned the model number V2313A and is anticipated to be released in international markets soon.
The Vivo Y100i 5G is available in a single variant, featuring 12GB of RAM and 256GB of storage, priced at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs 19,000).
It is already on sale through various online retailers, including JD.com. The smartphone is offered in three colour options: Black, Sky Blue, and Pink.
One of the key highlights of the Vivo Y100i 5G is its extended RAM feature, which supports virtual RAM expansion up to 12GB.
The device boasts a unique square camera island with rounded corners, housing dual rear cameras and an LED flash.
This design suggests an emphasis on capturing high-quality images.
Additionally, the Y100i 5G is IP54 rated, ensuring protection against water splashes.
The smartphone’s sound output is reportedly 200% better than its predecessor, as teased by Vivo.
It also supports 44W wired fast charging, allowing a full charge from 0 to 100% within approximately one hour.
Although the Vivo Y100i 5G shares some specifications with the standard Y100 model, as reported by IThome, its Qualcomm Snapdragon 695 SoC sets it apart.
This chipset inclusion was also confirmed by a GeekBench listing.
This announcement follows Vivo’s recent launches in November 2023, including the Vivo X100 series in China, featuring the Vivo X100 and Vivo X100 Pro with MediaTek Dimensity 9300 chipsets and curved AMOLED panels.
