The anticipated India launch date for the OnePlus 12 might be set for January 24, 2024, as suggested by recent updates from OnePlus’ official websites in the UK, US, and India.
Although the company has not officially announced a specific date, details from a promotional contest on these websites all but tell us about the launch.
The OnePlus websites have launched a lottery for winning the OnePlus 12, where participants can subscribe using their email IDs to be eligible for a lucky draw.
The contest period, as noted in the terms and conditions, spans from November 27 to January 23, hinting at the phone’s launch shortly after, which is how the 24th January date got pushed.
As for the original China launch, the company had previously planned on the OnePlus 12 being revealed on December 4 during its 10-year anniversary event but has now rescheduled the China launch to December 5.
The OnePlus 12’s design, revealed earlier this week, echoes the style of its predecessor, and features a prominent circular camera module with the Hasselblad logo, positioned in the upper left corner of the back panel.
Curved edges, narrow bezels, and a centre-aligned hole-punch for the front camera characterize the phone’s display.
It has been teased in three colour variants: Pale Green, Rock Black, and White.
In terms of specifications, the OnePlus 12 is confirmed to house the Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 SoC and will include a Sony LYTIA LYT808 primary rear camera sensor, complemented by a 64MP periscope telephoto lens.
The device will run on Android 14, overlaid with ColorOS 14, and will feature a ProXDR display offering 2K resolution, a maximum brightness of 2,600 nits, and has received DisplayMate’s A+ certification.
