In the past, iPhone owners would borrow a Samsung Galaxy S24 Ultra to take good photos at concerts.
However, the upcoming Vivo X100 Ultra seems like it could be even better for concert photography than the S24 Ultra.
The Vivo X100 Ultra has an impressive triple camera setup on the back.
It features a 50MP main camera, a 50MP ultrawide camera, and most importantly, a 200MP periscope zoom camera.
These cameras use advanced image processing and lens coatings from Vivo and ZEISS.
Some leaked concert photos reportedly taken with the X100 Ultra look truly outstanding, especially those using the 3.7x telephoto zoom lens at 10x magnification.
The clarity and detail in the zoomed images is said to be excellent.
Interestingly, the 200MP main camera sensor in the X100 Ultra actually comes from Samsung.
It’s a brand new 1/1.4-inch sensor called the HP9, enabling real 200MP photo capture.
The telephoto zoom lens is also using special fluorite glass designed for professional cameras to reduce distortion and aberrations.
Combined with optical and digital stabilization, this should allow for sharp handheld zoomed shots.
In addition to the advanced camera hardware, the X100 Ultra gets several flagship specs like the latest Snapdragon 8 Gen 3 chip, a 2K AMOLED display, and a large 5,500mAh battery with fast wired and wireless charging.
The Vivo X100 Ultra is launching tomorrow, May 13th, with pricing likely in the premium flagship range.
