The Vivo V80 is starting to make an appearance ahead of its expected launch in India. After details about its battery capacity surfaced last week, Vivo has now started teasing the upcoming V-series smartphone officially. The handset has also reportedly appeared on the Geekbench database with the model number V2648, revealing some of its key hardware details.
Meanwhile, Vivo’s latest teasers are focusing on the phone’s ZEISS-powered camera capabilities, suggesting that imaging will be one of the key areas of the upcoming smartphone.
Vivo V80 Spotted On Geekbench Database
The Vivo V80 has appeared on Geekbench, providing an early look at its expected performance and hardware. The smartphone has been listed with the V2648 model number and appears to be powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 platform.
The Geekbench listing shows an eight-core processor with a peak clock speed of 2.80GHz, paired with an Adreno 722 GPU. The test unit was listed with 8GB of RAM and Android 17.
The Vivo V80 scored 1,070 points in the single-core test and 3,552 points in the multi-core test. These results come from a pre-launch device and may not represent the performance of the final retail version.
The Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 is also notable as the same chipset powers the existing Vivo V70, suggesting that the V80 could focus on other areas rather than making a major chipset upgrade.
The Geekbench listing also points towards Android 17, while reports suggest that Vivo could pair the smartphone with OriginOS 7. However, Vivo has not yet confirmed the complete software package for the V80.

Meanwhile, Vivo has started building anticipation for the smartphone in India. The company’s official teaser highlights the ZEISS camera capabilities of the V80, while an orange colour option has also been shown. The India landing page currently lists the smartphone as coming soon.
Vivo V80 Expected Specifications
The Vivo V80 is expected to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with 1.5K resolution and a 144Hz refresh rate. Under the hood, the smartphone could be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset paired with an Adreno 722 GPU.
The Geekbench listing confirms an 8GB RAM variant, although additional configurations are expected to be available. The phone is also tipped to run Android 17 with OriginOS 7.
For photography, the Vivo V80 is expected to continue the brand’s focus on imaging with a ZEISS-branded triple rear-camera setup. The system could include a 50-megapixel primary camera with OIS, an 8-megapixel ultra-wide-angle camera and a 50-megapixel telephoto camera with 3x optical zoom.
For selfies and video calls, the smartphone is expected to feature a 50-megapixel front camera. Vivo has already started teasing the V80’s ZEISS camera capabilities, although the complete camera specifications are yet to be confirmed.
The smartphone is also tipped to pack a 7,200mAh battery with 90W wired charging, which would make battery capacity one of the notable changes over its predecessor.
Other expected features include 5G connectivity, USB Type-C and IP68/IP69-rated protection. However, most of these specifications are currently based on leaks and reports, and Vivo is yet to officially confirm the complete specifications.
Vivo V80 Launch: Expected Price and Launch Date
The Vivo V80 has not yet been officially launched in India, although Vivo has started teasing the smartphone and its India landing page lists it as coming soon.
The company has not yet revealed the launch date or official pricing of the smartphone. Details regarding the final RAM and storage configurations are also yet to be confirmed.
