Vivo has confirmed the India launch date for its upcoming V70 series smartphones. The series including Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite already has dedicated microsites live on Flipkart, Amazon, and the Vivo India website. The company has also shared most of the key specifications and features ahead of the official launch. So, here’s what we know about the phones so far.
The Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite smartphones are scheduled to launch in India on February 19 at 12 PM. The announcement comes after Vivo recently revealed plans to introduce the V70 lineup in the country.
The Vivo V70 will be available in Passion Red and Lemon Yellow colour options. Meanwhile, the Vivo V70 Elite will be offered in Passion Red, Sand Beige, and Authentic Black finishes.
Both the Vivo V70 and Vivo V70 Elite will feature a 6.59-inch 1.5K Ultra Clear OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate. The screens are claimed to deliver up to 5,000 nits of peak brightness and support HDR content.
The devices will also include a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor with “3D anti-spoofing technology,” along with IP68 and IP69 ratings for dust and water resistance, and wet touch support.
The Vivo V70 will be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 4 chipset, while the Vivo V70 Elite will run on the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 SoC. Vivo claims an AnTuTu V11 score of 1,889,405 for the Elite model. The devices will offer LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage with the V70 Elite confirmed to be available in an 8GB RAM and 256GB storage configuration.
The Vivo V70 series will ship with OriginOS 6 based on Android 16. Software features include AI Creation, Origin Island Drag and Go, One Tap Transfer, and the Vivo Office Kit.
The Vivo V70 series will sport a triple rear camera setup co-engineered with Zeiss. The camera system includes a 50-megapixel Sony IMX766 primary sensor with OIS, a 50-megapixel Sony IMX882 “Night Telephoto” sensor offering 3x optical zoom and up to 100x digital zoom, and an ultra-wide-angle lens. On the front, both models will feature a 50-megapixel selfie camera, also developed in collaboration with Zeiss.
The AI Photography Suite will bring tools such as AI Magic Weather, AI Floral Blessing, Wedding Style 2.0, AI Magic Weather, and India-exclusive AI Holi Portrait. Vivo has also promised four major Android OS upgrades and six years of security updates for both smartphones.
Both smartphones are confirmed to pack a 6,500mAh battery with support for 90W fast charging and multi-scenario bypass charging.
