Vivo V21 5G with 44MP OIS front camera launched in India

Vivo has come up with the V21 smartphone in India, about which the company claims, is the world’s first smartphone with 44-megapixel OIS front camera. The setup also comes with features such as a 44-megapixel OIS night selfie, Super Stable selfie video, eye autofocus, 4K video users. The Spotlight Selfie feature helps you take brighter photos from the front camera.

On the back, the all-new Vivo offering features a 64-megapixel OIS rear camera, supported by a set of secondary cameras to handle 120-degree wide-angle and more complex shots, as well as macro photography.

Embedded in the smartphones are other creative features such as a dual-view option that records videos from both sides of the smartphone, advanced AI to augment facial features and a Double Exposure Function to let users’ creativity shine through. The OIS+EIS in the rear camera results in Ultra stable videos even on the move. The setup consists of a 64-megapixel primary sensor, 8-megapixel wide-angle + bokeh sensor, and 2-megapixel macro sensor.

In terms of other specs, the Vivo V21 boasts a 6.44-inch full HD+ E3 AMOLED display with a 90Hz refresh rate. The smartphone is powered by the MediaTek Dimensity 800U processor paired with 8GB of RAM and up to 256GB of internal storage. It supports expandable storage up to 1TB via a microSD card. The handset runs on Android 11-based Funtouch OS 11.1.

The smartphone comes equipped with a 4,000mAh battery with 33W FlashCharge fast charging support. On the connectivity front, it include 5G, 4G LTE, Bluetooth 5.1, and a USB Type-C port. The smartphone has an in-display fingerprint sensor.

The newly-launched phone comes in three colour options – Sunset Dazzle, Dusk Blue, and Arctic White. The phone will go on sale starting May 6 via Flipkart, Vivo India e-store, and retail stores. The phone comes in two variants – 8GB+128GB and 8GB+256GB – priced at Rs 29,990 and Rs 32,990.
