It appears Vivo is all set to expand its V-series lineup with another device now appearing in leaks. A recent social media post by well-knowm Indian tipster has revealed key details about an upcoming Vivo device that could be Vivo S60. The leak suggests that the company is already working on a successor to its current V-series lineup. According to the post, the device could launch globally under a different name as the Vivo V80. Here’s more on that.
As per tipster Debayan Roy @Gadgetsdata on X, the Vivo S60 is expected to bring notable upgrades in performance, camera and battery. The report suggests that the device could be rebranded as the Vivo V80 for global markets including India.
If this happens, the Vivo V80 could be positioned above the existing V70 lineup, which was launched earlier this year with ZEISS-backed cameras, a 6,500mAh battery and different chipset options depending on the model.
The Vivo S60 is tipped to feature a 6.59-inch AMOLED display with a 1.5K resolution and a 120Hz refresh rate offering a smooth and immersive viewing experience.
The smartphone is expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 8s Gen 3 chipset. It may also include LPDDR5X RAM and UFS 4.1 storage, which should help deliver strong performance for multitasking and gaming.
In terms of cameras, Vivo is likely to focus heavily on imaging upgrades. The device is said to feature a 200-megapixel primary camera along with a 50-megapixel telephoto sensor. While exact sensor details are not yet known, this would mark a significant improvement over the previous generation.
The smartphone is also expected to come with IP69 certification indicating improved durability against water and dust.
Battery capacity details have not been officially revealed but the leak hints at a larger battery compared to the current generation. The existing V70 series already features a 6,500mAh battery with fast charging support, so the Vivo S60 could push battery performance even further.
At the moment, Vivo has not confirmed any official details regarding the Vivo S60 or its global counterpart the Vivo V80. However, an official announcement could be expected in the coming months.
