The Vivo S18 series is an upcoming addition to the Chinese smartphone giant’s stable of products and is scheduled for unveiling on December 14 in China.
There are three devices in the series the Vivo S18, Vivo S18e, and Vivo S18 Pro.
As is always the case in the days leading up to the launches, specifications and design elements of the handsets have been teased.
Specifically, the new leaks deal with the cameras on the Vivo S18 series.
The Vivo S18 and S18 Pro will have the inclusion of a powerful 50MP front camera, complemented by a soft dual-LED flash.
The Vivo S18 Pro takes it a notch higher with a 50MP VCS Sony IMX920 lens, renowned for its OIS, promising crisp and clear images even in less-than-ideal conditions.
This model will also boast a 50MP Samsung JN1 Ultra-wide sensor and a 12MP IMX663 telephoto lens, optics last seen on the Vivo X90s.
Apart from all this there is also an adjustable Aura LED light which is likely to enhance the Pro variant’s photography capabilities.
The Vivo S18e, a more budget option, while slightly scaled back compared to its siblings, is expected to feature a dual-camera module enhanced by the same Aura LED.
Finally, there are some software tricks also up the S18 series’ sleeves which is the integration of the Blue Heart.
This AI system, with its six billion parameters, is said to be engineered to enhance photo quality, promising an exceptional photography experience.
Vivo S18: Expected to be powered by the Snapdragon 7 Gen 3 SoC, this model is set to feature a curved-edge OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
A notable feature is its 80W fast charging capability, ensuring minimal downtime for users.
Vivo S18 Pro: The Pro version will have the more potent Dimensity 9200 SoC and also offer a curved-edge OLED display with a 120Hz refresh rate.
It steps up the game with a 100W fast charging option, catering to power users. The teaser from the company also reveals two new colour options – Black and Grey.
Vivo S18e: Details are sparse for this model but it is anticipated to come with a 4800 mAh battery supported by 80W fast charging.
It also maintains a sleek profile, consistent with Vivo phones over the years, with a 7.69mm thickness and will be available in Cloud Gauze White, Glow Purple, and Starry Night Black.

The S18e, being a budget option, is likely to come with a 4800mAh battery supported by 80W fast charging and will have a sleek design, available in various colors.
Vivo has been active in the Chinese market, launching several models recently. Among these is the Vivo Y12, a device that stands out with its MediaTek Helio G85 processor and a dual-rear camera setup.
This model is tailored for users seeking a balance between performance and photography capabilities, offering a 13MP primary sensor and a 2MP depth sensor for the rear camera, along with an 8MP front camera for selfies and video calls.

The event will take place at 02:00 pm local time, which is 04:30 pm IST, showcasing the latest innovations from Vivo.
