Along with the launch of its flagship X500 series, Vivo has also introduced two new accessories in China. The company has launched the Vivo Watch 6 smartwatch and its first clip-on open-ear earbuds, the Vivo Buds Clip.
Both devices bring a mix of premium hardware and Vivo’s ecosystem features, with the Watch 6 focusing on health, fitness and outdoor tracking, while the Buds Clip introduce an open-ear design with directional audio and AI-powered features.
Vivo Buds Clip and Watch 6: Price and Availability
The Vivo Watch 6 starts at 999 yuan for the Bluetooth version. The standard eSIM variant is priced at 1,399 yuan, while the premium Titanium eSIM version costs 1,999 yuan. The Titanium version uses a TC4 aerospace-grade titanium body.
The Vivo Buds Clip have been launched at a promotional price of 599 yuan for the standard version, down from the regular price of 699 yuan. The wireless charging variant costs 699 yuan during the promotional period, compared to its regular price of 799 yuan.
Both products are currently available in China, with the Watch 6 scheduled to go on sale from September 28. Vivo has not yet announced details about their global or India availability.
Vivo Buds Clip: Design and Key Features
The Vivo Buds Clip use a clip-on open-ear design that leaves the ear canal completely unobstructed. Each earbud weighs 5.2 grams and uses a flexible memory titanium alloy bridge to attach to the ear. The earbuds also feature a symmetrical design, allowing either unit to be worn on either ear while automatically adjusting the stereo channels.
The earbuds are available in black, white and purple colour options. The white and purple variants feature a pearlescent finish.
Since open-ear earbuds can allow more sound to escape, Vivo has included a Leakage-Proof Mode that uses directional audio to direct sound towards the ear canal. There is also an Adaptive Volume feature that automatically adjusts the volume according to the surrounding environment.
For calls, the Buds Clip use two microphones and a bone-conduction sensor to pick up the user’s voice and reduce the impact of surrounding noise.
Vivo Buds Clip: Audio and Connectivity
The Vivo Buds Clip feature 12mm drivers and support Hi-Res Audio Wireless and LDAC. The earbuds offer three main listening modes, including balanced, vocal enhancement and leakage-proof modes.
Vivo has also included a 10-band equaliser for custom audio adjustments and spatial audio support. The earbuds support Bluetooth connectivity and can connect to three devices simultaneously.
The Buds Clip also include several ecosystem-focused features. These include real-time translation, AI Smart Broadcast and BlueOS ecosystem integration. However, some of these features require a compatible Vivo or iQOO smartphone.
Vivo Buds Clip: Battery Life
The earbuds offer up to 10 hours of playback on a single charge, while the charging case extends the total playback time to 42 hours.
The Buds Clip also support fast charging, with 10 minutes of charging providing up to three hours of playback. The wireless charging version supports charging through compatible wireless charging accessories.
The earbuds carry an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.
Vivo Watch 6: Design and Display
The Vivo Watch 6 features a 1.47-inch AMOLED display with a 60Hz refresh rate. The screen can reach a local peak brightness of 3,500 nits, while its minimum brightness can drop to 2 nits for darker environments.
The display is protected by sapphire crystal glass, which is now standard across the Watch 6 lineup. The watch measures 9.5mm in thickness, excluding the rear sensor bump.
The standard Bluetooth and eSIM models feature a 316L stainless steel frame and weigh 44 grams. The premium eSIM Titanium version uses TC4 aerospace-grade titanium alloy and weighs 37 grams.
The Watch 6 is available in Wilderness and Moonlight colour options, while the Titanium version also gets a Natural Color finish.
Vivo Watch 6: Health and Fitness Features
The Vivo Watch 6 features an eight-channel heart rate sensor and 16-channel blood oxygen sensor. It supports continuous monitoring of heart rate, SpO2, sleep and stress.
Vivo claims that the watch can achieve 97.2% average heart-rate accuracy across different exercise scenarios compared with professional chest straps, with accuracy reaching 98.5% during running, walking, cycling and hiking.
For fitness tracking, the smartwatch supports more than 100 sports modes, along with features such as running form analysis and swing tracking for racket sports. Vivo also plans to add all-day HRV monitoring through a future software update.
For outdoor activities, the Watch 6 includes a built-in barometer, offline maps and dual-frequency, five-system GNSS. Vivo claims the updated positioning hardware improves satellite lock times by 34% and trajectory accuracy by 10%.
Vivo Watch 6: Smart Features and Connectivity
The Vivo Watch 6 runs BlueOS 4 and includes Vivo’s BlueLM AI assistant for contextual reminders and other smart features.
The smartwatch also supports NFC for payments and transit, along with digital car key functionality. The eSIM versions can handle calls, text messages and navigation without being connected to a smartphone.
The watch also supports Vivo’s ecosystem features, including AI-powered reminders and smart suggestions when paired with compatible Vivo and iQOO smartphones.
Vivo Watch 6: Battery Life
Battery life varies depending on the model and usage. The Bluetooth version is rated to deliver up to 10 days of typical usage and up to 21 days with light usage.
The eSIM version offers around seven days when connected to a phone and up to four days when used independently. With the always-on display enabled, battery life is rated at around six days.
