TSSC to set up a skill lab for drone technology and IoT in Madhya Pradesh

With an aim to promote futuristic skills and train workforce in new-age technologies, Telecom Sector Skill Council (TSCC), announced to expand its operation in Madhya Pradesh. The decision has been taken in response to fulfil the increasing demand of a skilled workforce in emerging technologies such as 5G, Artificial Intelligence, and Machine Learning erupting in the country.

To train students on Drone Technology and Internet of Things (IoT), the telecom body has also plan to setup a skill lab at academic facilities.

Additionally, TSSC will setup at least two Training of Trainer (ToT) & Training of Assessor (ToA) academies in the state. TSCC aims to train seven thousand candidates this year at its training centres in the state. Currently, a total of 7,500 students can be trained at these training centres.

The setting up of skill lab will also strengthen Prime Minister’s vision of “Make in India’ and $1 trillion Indian digital economy.

There has been an increase in demand for call centre/sales executive, handheld device repair technicians, optical fibre and broadband technicians, informs TSSC.

“TSSC’s skilling courses will help many aspiring youth in Madhya Pradesh to convert their potential into industry-ready resources,” said Arvind Bali, CEO, TSSC while announcing the development.

TSSC has plan to set up more training centres and enhance the employability of candidates in the state, informed Bali.

He also emphasised that India has a potential talent pool to add to the telecom and allied services workforce.
