The Witcher 3
The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt is one of the most popular video games that we have today, although the latest news doesn’t bode well for the game as the next gen updates are said to cause performance issues for many PC players, prompting developer CD Projekt Red (CDPR) to conduct an investigation.
CDPR has just recently pushed its next-gen live update for The Witcher 3, which is quite surprising that the users are complaining about the updates affecting their performance in the game.

It is the paramount duty of a developer to keep upgrading the games he has created and if it is as popular as The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, the responsibility increases manifolds.
CD Projekt Red (CDPR) is one of the most renowned developers that came up with the franchise called The Witcher 3, where it just recently came out with the next-gen live update for the game, although it has only done far more harm than good for quite a few PC players.
Many of the players are complaining that they are experiencing significant drops in frame rate, model rendering, and bizarre and peculiar texture throughout The Witcher 3, including those with high-end graphics cards who too are facing issues.

The frame rate problems include a drop below 60fps on cards from Nvidia’s 30 Series, although the pre-update in performance outpaced the latest version of the game, while The Witcher 3 subreddit has a mega thread for troubleshooting, where answers are being crowd-sourced.
This is for those players who’re facing problems from memory leaks to frequent crashes, while other issues include saved files that are not loading on time, and players managing to boot it up have deemed the game “unplayable” on lower settings.
There are certain users that adjust their settings and try until they succeed, although the constant turning on/off of the PC to PC gaming troubleshooting is working only for a handful of them, while players that want to do all they can are advised things like removing mods, disabling ray tracing, GPU driver upgrades, etc.
The next-gen update is facing a reverse problem of sorts as the gaming consoles are doing better than PCs in this regard, when normally it is the other way round, while certain PC players are opting for certain degree of tweaking, although CDPR has the final say on the matter.
