Telegram has rolled out a fresh update (version 11.12.0), bringing a bunch of useful new features to both Android and iOS users. From sending direct messages to channel admins to trimming voice messages and sharing HD photos, there’s a lot to check out.
You can now message channel admins or owners directly without needing to share your phone number or contact details. These subscriber messages show up in a separate section so they don’t mix with personal chats. Follow the steps below –
Group chats with topics now get a cleaner tabbed layout. You can view and switch between topics using either a side bar or a top tab bar.
Enable this by going to Group Settings > Topics.
Made a mistake while recording a voice note? No worries, you can now trim the start and end before sending. Here’s how to do it –
Telegram now lets you send photos in HD, offering 4x the pixel detail while still keeping the file size under 0.5MB.
Just tap the SD button in the photo editor or choose Send in High Quality from the attachment menu.
iPhone users can now directly share photos and videos from their system apps like the Photos app to Telegram Stories using the native share sheet.
Polls in Telegram now support up to 12 options. You can even forward a poll to your Saved Messages to save the results or share it elsewhere.
Telegram version 11.12.0 is out now for both Android and iOS. Android users can grab it from telegram.org/android or the Google Play Store.
