Telegram has introduced several new enhancements to its Stories feature.
Initially unlocking Stories for free users earlier this year, Telegram has progressively added functionalities, making the platform more engaging and interactive.
A notable new tool is the ability to repost Stories from friends and channels. This feature, reminiscent of similar functions on platforms like X/Twitter, allows users to share Stories they find compelling.
When reposting a Story, users have the flexibility to personalize it with text, emojis, and even custom drawings, adding a creative layer to their interactions.
In addition to reposting, Telegram has integrated a video recording feature for Stories. Upon selecting a Story to repost, users will notice a camera icon, which, when tapped, lets them record a video message.
This message can then be layered over the reposted Story, offering a TikTok-like experience for creating collaborative or response videos.
Moreover, Telegram is enhancing the original story creation process. Users can now record video messages directly when crafting a new Story, allowing for more dynamic and personal storytelling.
Further expanding its offerings, Telegram is rolling out transcribed voice messages for free users, albeit in a limited capacity.
For channel operators, Telegram introduces story statistics, providing insights into the reach and engagement of their Stories.
Channels also gain the ability to customize the emoji reaction palette, offering a more personalized interaction with their followers.
Additionally, when a user follows a Channel, they will now receive suggestions for related Channels, making it easier to discover similar content.
Telegram’s latest update allows users to repost Stories from friends and channels they follow. By tapping the repost button, users can add their own text, emojis, and custom drawings to these Stories, providing a personalized touch to shared content.
Alongside the repost function, Telegram has introduced a video recording feature for Stories. After selecting a Story to repost, users can tap the camera icon to record a short video message. This message can be overlaid on the reposted Story, similar to collaborative videos on TikTok.
Telegram’s transcribed voice messages, now available to free users, offer a convenient way to consume voice content. Users can read the transcriptions of voice messages, making the platform more accessible and user-friendly, especially for those who prefer reading over listening.
