Tecno is gearing up to introduce one of the world’s slimmest smartphones in India, following the debut of its Spark Slim concept at MWC 2025. A new report has revealed that the upcoming device will measure slimmer than a pencil, while also offering premium-grade features. Here’s what we know so far.
The smartphone’s standout feature will be its slim profile, which is just 5.95mm thick, compared to the Spark Slim concept’s 5.75mm frame. Despite its ultra-slim build, the phone is rumoured to house a sizable 5,200mAh battery, ensuring users won’t have to compromise on endurance.
On the front, buyers can expect a 6.78-inch AMOLED display with a 144Hz refresh rate, promising vibrant visuals and smooth performance. For cameras, the device is tipped to feature a 50MP rear shooter, catering to photography enthusiasts.
If Tecno launches this phone as expected, it will join the ranks of premium slim smartphones currently in development. Samsung has already introduced the Galaxy S25 Edge with a sleek profile, while Apple is preparing to launch the iPhone 17 Air in September. Tecno’s entry could give it a competitive advantage by offering the world’s slimmest 5G curved smartphone in India.
Tecno has yet to confirm the name officially, but reports suggest the India model could be derived from the Spark Slim showcased earlier. According to a recent report by NBT, the phone is expected to be priced at around Rs 80,000 (approximately $915), firmly placing it in the flagship category.
Interestingly, since Tecno typically reserves the “Spark” branding for budget devices, this ultra-thin handset may launch under a new name.
