Slim smartphones are making a comeback in the industry. After Samsung’s Galaxy S25 Edge and Apple’s upcoming iPhone 17 Air, TECNO is now ready to join the trend with the launch of its POVA Slim 5G in India on September 4.
According to the company, the POVA Slim 5G will be the world’s slimmest 5G smartphone featuring a 3D curved display. This announcement follows the launch of the Infinix HOT 60 Pro+, which holds the title of the slimmest curved screen 4G phone at just 5.95mm thickness.

Beyond its ultra-thin profile, TECNO is bringing in distinctive features to set the device apart. The phone will come with a dynamic mood light design, integrating LED lights around the camera module for a futuristic look.
It will also feature TECNO’s AI-powered assistant named Ella AI, which offers writing support for Indian languages, along with Google Circle to Search for smarter and faster content discovery. However, TECNO has confirmed that the POVA Slim 5G will not support network communication with other TECNO and Infinix devices.
Despite being designed as a slim phone, leaks and earlier reports suggest the handset will pack a solid 5000mAh battery, ensuring all-day usage without compromising on power. More details about the device including performance specifications and pricing are expected to be revealed closer to the official launch.
