Tecno is officially making available its latest budget 5G smartphone, the Tecno POP X 5G, in India starting today. The device will go on sale at 12 PM today and will be available exclusively through Amazon. Here’s everything you need to know about the latest device and its availability.
Launched last week, the Tecno POP X 5G price starts at ₹15,999 for the base variant with 4GB RAM and 128GB internal storage. The smartphone is also available in a higher 6GB RAM and 128GB storage configuration that is priced at ₹17,999.
The sale will start on Amazon from April 24, 2026 (today) at 12:00 PM IST.
The phone is available in two colour choices named Midnight Blue and Ripple Green.
The Tecno POP X 5G features a large 6.78-inch HD+ display with a resolution of 720 x 1576 pixels. The screen supports a 120Hz refresh rate for smoother scrolling and a 240Hz touch sampling rate alongwith up to 560 nits of peak brightness.
It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6400 processor built on a 6nm process paired with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU for handling graphics.
The device comes with up to 6GB of LPDDR4x RAM and 128GB of UFS 2.2 storage. Users can further expand storage up to 2TB via a microSD card. It supports dual SIM functionality with nano SIM slots along with a dedicated microSD card slot.

On the software front, the Tecno POP X 5G runs on Android 16 with the company’s custom HiOS 16 skin on top. For photography, the smartphone is equipped with a 13MP rear camera with LED flash while the front houses an 8MP selfie shooter with an f/2.0 aperture.
It packs a large 6500mAh battery and supports 45W fast charging aim to deliver extended usage with quick top-ups.
Security features include a side-mounted fingerprint sensor. The device also offers IP64 Pro-rated dust and water resistance and retains a 3.5mm audio jack.
The smartphone measures 167.9 x 79.3 x 8.18mm and weighs 210 grams.
Connectivity options on the Tecno POP X 5G include support for 5G SA/NSA bands (n1, n3, n5, n8, n28B, n38, n40, n41, n48, n77, and n78), dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz + 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS, GLONASS, Galileo, QZSS and a USB Type-C port.
