Redmi launches laptop series in India
Xiaomi Redmi has launched two laptops in the Indian market – RedmiBook Pro and RedmiBook e-Learning edition. These are the first laptops in the country under the Redmi sub-brand. The laptops come with Intel’s 11th generation Tiger Lake processors, DDR4 RAM, solid state drive (SSD) storage, and fullHD+ resolution screen. The RedmiBook Pro has been priced at Rs 49,999, while the RedmiBook e-Learning Edition will cost you Rs 41,999 for a 256GB variant. The 512GB variant will be priced at Rs 44,999.
Amazon Alexa will help you find Covid-19 testing centres, vaccines in India
Amazon India has updated its digital assistant Alexa to help people find COVID 19-related information. It will also help users get information on vaccination availability, details to contribute towards COVID-19 relief, COVID-19 helpline numbers and much more. Amazon has teamed up with MapMyIndia to help users in India find the nearest COVID-19 testing centers along with the travel distance. Users can simply ask the questions like “Alexa, where can I get COVID-19 test?” and it will provide a list of all the nearby vaccination centres.
Realme unveils MagDart ecosystem
Smartphone brand Realme unveiled a magnetic wireless charging solution for Android, called MagDart. As per the company, the new MagDart ecosystem includes 50W and 15W magnetic wireless chargers, a 2-in-1 MagDart power bank, and a few other magnetic charging accessories. The company, in a statement, said that it aims to be a pioneer in the magnetic wireless charging ecosystem.
iQOO 8 series to launch on August 17
According to the company, the iQOO 8 series is all set to launch on August 17. The latest device will be the successor of the iQoo 7 launched in January this year. The Chinese phone maker took to Weibo to announce that the iQOO 8 will launch in China on August 8. The launch event will be held at 7.30pm local time (5pm IST). The handset is expected to be powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 888+ SoC and have multiple cameras at the back. If we go by the rumors, the iQOO 8 range may have two models – iQOO 8 and iQOO 8 Pro. Other leaked specifications of the iQOO 8 may include a 2K AMOLED display with 120Hz variable refresh rate.
Twitter users can now sign-in with Apple or Google account
Twitter India has now come up with a new feature to allow users with Apple or Google account to sign-in or sign-up on the platform. The new sign-in options are available on both the web and app versions. However, for now, using an Apple ID only works on iOS devices, although the micro-blogging site claims it will soon be available for the web version. The new feature is said to make the experience easier for the new users.
