Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3i laptop launched in India

Lenovo launched an upgraded IdeaPad Gaming 3i laptop with the latest Intel 11th Gen H-series processors and Nvidia GeForce RTX 30 series GPU at a starting price of Rs 89,990. It comes with a high refresh rate display with thick bezels on the top and bottom and slim bezels on the side. The affordable and entry-level gaming laptop is built for overall performance and aptly fits the needs of students and young adults. Lenovo IdeaPad Gaming 3i will be available to purchase through Amazon and Lenovo website at first, with Flipkart and other offline channels following soon.

Realme GT 5G first sale today in India

Realme GT 5G will go on its first sale in India on August 25 at 12pm. The device launched in the country last week alongside the Realme GT Master Edition that will go on sale on August 26. The smartphone originally launched in China back in March and then made its way to the European market in June. It is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 888 SoC and has a triple rear camera setup. Realme GT 5G will cost you Rs 37,999 for the base 8GB + 128GB storage model while 12GB + 256GB storage variant is priced at Rs 41,999.

Oppo F19s may launch in India soon

Oppo unveiled the Oppo F19, F19 Pro, and the F19 Pro+ smartphones in India earlier this year. The brand is prepping up to launch a new device in the F19 series. It will be launching a special edition phone – Oppo F19s in India during the festive season. As per the speculations, the new phone may borrow design elements and key specifications from the Oppo F19 series. The smartphone is said to launch in the country at around Rs 18,000 which would position it as the entry-level option in the F19 series.

Xiaomi dropping ‘Mi’ branding from future products

Xiaomi is dropping the ‘Mi’ branding from its future products and will simply use ‘Xiaomi’, according to an online report. The report adds that the change in branding has kicked off with the company’s recently launched smartphone – Mix 4. A company spokesperson confirmed that the company will follow the same for its upcoming products. The Mi branding has been in existence for about 10 years now.

A Samsung phone burst into flames on a plane

It is being reported that a Samsung phone, specifically the Galaxy A21, burst into flames inside an Alaska Airlines flight. A passenger on the flight, who was the owner of the smartphone, confirmed this to authorities. Allegedly, the phone spontaneously burst and caused a small fire. The crew used a battery containment bag (an emergency device on most flights) to extinguish the fire. Though, the smoke was prevalent enough that the crew deemed an evacuation necessary.
