Now, as per a new report, changing the region of your iPhone to France can make an old iPhone faster than before. This suggests that Apple doesn’t throttle iPhones’ in France as a response to the country’s competition watchdog’s investigation and the fine.

Earlier, the Cupertino-based tech giant revealed that it slows down old iPhones to preserve their battery life, prioritizing it over performance. Apple’s critics have argued that the decision to throttle old devices is also to push customers to purchase a newer model.
