Tecno Pova 5G with 6,000mAh battery launched

Tecno launched its first ever 5G smartphone in Nigeria – Tecno Pova 5G. The latest smartphone is said to carry a 120Hz refresh rate display, a triple rear camera unit headlined by a 50-megapixel sensor, and 18W fast charging support. Under the hood, the phone is said to be powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 900 chipset. The handset is reported to be available in a single variant which has 128GB of onboard storage. Other highlights about the phone include a hole-punch design and 6,000mAh battery. The Tecno Pova 5G price has been set at NGN 129,000 (roughly Rs 23,500).

Tecno Spark 8 Pro set to launch on December 29

Smartphone brand Tecno just rolled out a post on its official social media handles, teasing its fans around the upcoming debut of the Tecno Spark 8 Pro. The poster shows the design of the handset along with a “Coming Soon” tag. The poster image shows a black color variant with vertically-striped textures at the back. The Spark 8 Pro’s landing page is now live on Amazon India. The all-new Spark 8 Pro is all set to launch on December 29, 2021.

Oppo Enco Air2 launching in India by early February

Oppo’s earbuds offering in India is about to get a refresh as the company teases the impending launch of the Oppo Enco M32 earbuds. The neckband-styled headphone was launched in China last month (November) and is a successor to the Enco M31 that was unveiled last year receiving a wide reception. They connect via Bluetooth 5.2 technology and have support for touch controls and dual microphones. The Oppo Enco Air earbuds are priced at RMB 249 (around Rs 3,000) and will come in White, Black, and Blue color options.

India to get 5G in 2022

The Department of Telecommunications (DoT) announced that 5G Internet services will indeed be rolled out in India in 2022. As per a press statement, 13 cities across the country will get 5G in the beginning. These 13 cities are Ahmedabad, Bengaluru, Chandigarh, Chennai, Delhi, Gandhinagar, Gurugram, Hyderabad, Jamnagar, Kolkata, Lucknow, Mumbai and Pune. The government, however, did not confirm which telecom operator will be the first to commercially roll out 5G services.
