The two devices share a largely identical design and features including a large display, dual-SIM 5G connectivity and similar camera hardware. However, they differ when it comes to battery capacity and memory configurations with the Redmi R70m 5G offering a bigger battery and higher RAM options. The Redmi R70 5G is priced starting at CNY 1,599 (approximately Rs. 21,900) for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It is also available in 6GB + 128GB, 6GB + 256GB and 8GB + 256GB configurations. On the other hand, the Redmi R70m 5G starts at CNY 1,799 (roughly Rs. 24,600) for the 6GB + 128GB model. Buyers can also choose from 6GB + 256GB, 8GB + 256GB and 12GB + 256GB variants. Under the hood, both devices are powered by the Unisoc T8300 chipset based on a 6nm process coupled with a Mali G57 GPU. They are paired with LPDDR4x RAM and UFS 2.2 storage and run on Xiaomi HyperOS 3.
