WhatsApp will go full stealth mode by hiding your online status

This year has been super busy and super important for the instant messaging app WhatsApp. The meta-owned platform is trying hard to bridge the gap between its closest competitor, Telegram by introducing many significant updates. Like, you can now share larger files in WhatsApp, you have communities, and you can add 512 participants to your group calls. Along with the chat upgrades, we have also seen some amazing updates on the privacy front as well. Last month, WhatsApp announced new features using which the users may hide their profile picture and status from specific contacts. Now, adding some more privacy on its platform, WhatsApp is working to allow users to hide their online status.

WhatsApp will go full stealth mode by hiding your online status

The feature is spotted by the WABetaInfo and it’s still in testing for now. As per the screenshot shared by the account, the feature will allow users to change their settings in two different options. You can set it to follow your Last Seen setting, which effectively limits it to contacts, select contacts, or let no one see it at all. The original option is where your online status is always visible to all. Those who already keep their last seen status a secret will find hiding their online status to be an appealing choice, and it will finally allow them to use the site in complete stealth mode without worrying about prying relatives.
