The highly-anticipated Sony PlayStation 5 Pro is all set to hit stores on November 7. Before the launch, Sony has just announced that more than 50 games will have enhanced versions ready at launch.
The $700 (approx INR 58,881) upgrade includes popular titles like Baldur’s Gate 3, The Last of Us Part II Remastered, Marvel’s Spider-Man 2 and God of War Ragnarök, as well as newer releases like NBA 2K25 and Dragon Age: The Veilguard.
The enhanced games are set to take advantage of the PS5 Pro’s advanced ray tracing, higher frame rates and Sony’s own PlayStation Spectral Super Resolution (PSSR) upscaling tech.
However, some anticipated games are noticeably missing.
Gran Turismo 7 isn’t on the list yet despite having an announced enhanced version. It is reportedly due to development time.
Final Fantasy XVI struggling with frame rate issues on the PS5 is also absent, along with Returnal and Elden Ring.
The enhanced versions most likely will come later depending on how well the PS5 Pro sells.
Apart from the visual upgrades for games, the PS5 Pro brings some solid hardware improvements too.
It has faster memory, support for Wi-Fi 7 and comes with a spacious 2TB SSD. An unboxing video by Digital Foundry revealed an additional 2GB of DDR5 RAM for the OS and user-accessible battery bay.
Just ahead of the launch, we are getting to know multiple new information about the specs and features of PS5 Pro.
In a recent review, a setting called “Enhance Image Quality for PS4 Games” was discovered in its screen settings, which players can toggle on or off for better visuals in PS4 titles.
Twisted Voxel tried it with Bloodborne and saw a noticeable sharpness improvement when the “Enhance Image Quality for PS4 Games” option was turned on.
Sony does recommend switching it off if any unexpected behaviour shows up during gameplay.
The hardware improvements compared to the previous PS5 model include an additional 2GB of DDR5 RAM dedicated to the operating system and non-gaming apps.
With a full 16GB of GDDR6 RAM free for gaming, games get to use the entire memory capacity, which boosts performance and graphics.

Sony’s PSSR upscaling technology has mostly got positive reviews. Digital Foundry revealed that the AI-based upscaling helps in getting sharper visuals than AMD’s FSR. However, it not matching the standards of NVIDIA’s DLSS.
In any case, PSSR turns game visuals a lot smoother and real, which helps in getting an overall experience for new and old game titles on the console.
One problem highlighted by reviews is how PS5 Slim cover plates don’t fit the new PS5 Pro model.
There are no custom-coloured PS5 Pro plates available as of now. However, Sony is expected to release some in the near future letting gamers personalise the consoles.
With the PS5 Pro’s November 7 launch, Sony is clearly focused on offering improved gaming experiences for fans. The console’s enhancements, along with the big lineup of upgraded games and new upscaling options for older titles, underscore Sony’s commitment to high-quality gaming.
However, even with all the upgrades and enhanced games, the $700 (approx INR 58,881) price tag might still be expensive for many potential customers.
