Snapchat has started rolling out its 2025 Recaps, offering users a personalised year-in-review experience on the platform. The Recap appears as a short, auto-generated video that brings together highlights from Snaps, Stories, and Chats. The video showcases how users shared content, interacted, and stayed connected throughout the year.

The rollout of the 2025 Recap also comes ahead of upcoming changes to Snapchat’s Memories storage policy. Starting in 2026, free Memories storage will be limited to 5GB. Users who exceed this limit will need to opt for a paid plan, beginning at $1.99 per month for 100GB of storage. Snapchat+ subscribers will receive up to 250GB, while the Platinum tier will offer as much as 5TB as part of its monthly subscription.

To view your Snapchat 2025 Recap, open the Snapchat app on your phone and swipe up from the camera screen to access Memories. There, you should find a card labelled “Your 2025 Snap Recap.” Tapping on it will prompt Snapchat to automatically generate your recap video.

Once ready, the Recap can be watched, saved, or shared directly from the Memories section.

Similar to year-end wrap-ups from platforms like Spotify and Apple Music, Snapchat’s Recap focuses on visual memories and messaging habits that are unique to its app.
