Samsung is doing its part to make it easier for visually impaired people to use its products.
The company has announced that it is bringing the accessibility feature called Relumino, previously available for Samsung TVs, to its flagship Galaxy smartphones.
Relumino Mode aims at making it easier for visually impaired people to see what is on the screen.
It does this by enhancing a few key elements such as color, contrast, and sharpness.
This makes it easier for low-vision users to see what is on the screen.
According to Samsung, Relumino Mode represents years of development and research.
In a blog post highlighting its accessibility features, Samsung said that the goal has been to create “Screens for All” and to improve the viewing experience for people with low vision.
At the moment, Relumino Mode is available only on Samsung phones from the Galaxy S24 series onwards.
However, in testing, Android Police found the feature on a Galaxy S23+ with One UI 6.1, so older models may be getting it too.
However, Android Police have stumbled upon the feature in a Galaxy S23+ running One UI 6.1, so it’s probably there on other older devices as well.
To check if Relumino Mode is available in your Samsung Galaxy smartphone with One UI 6.1, go to Settings → Accessibility → Vision Enhancements → Relumino outline.
