The Galaxy Watch 7 series is reportedly set to make its debut during the upcoming Galaxy Unpacked event, which may take place as early as July, following last year’s Galaxy Watch 6 introduction.
While Samsung has kept most of the information about the new wearable lineup under wraps, some crucial elements have been leaked after being spotted on the FCC certification listing.
Let’s get into the details!
First off, Samsung appears to be working on several variants of the Galaxy Watch 7 to cover a range of needs and budgets.
Certification files indicate that four variants will be offered—SM-L300 and SM-L310 as Wi-Fi-only options in two different sizes (40mm and 44mm).
The SM-L305 and SM-L315 variants would add cellular connectivity for an unshackled wristwatch experience.
These LTE variants could also boast markedly improved charging speeds.
According to leaked information, the SM-L305 Galaxy Watch 7 with LTE would offer 15W wireless charging speeds, up 50% from the previous generation’s 10W maximum.
For people who are always on the go, topping up smartwatch batteries will be faster than ever before.
However, fast charging is not the sole priority. Samsung is most likely targeting prolonged battery life and power-efficient performance with its new wearable chipset, while details remain unknown.
The indicated 5W wireless charging specification suggests that the Watch FE will have the same charging speeds as the Galaxy Watch 4 series.
And that’s not all; it is still doubtful what other corners Samsung will cut to achieve a lower pricing point.
With the slew of rumoured model numbers and specifications, our smartwatch antennae are definitely tingling at the next move of Samsung’s wearables.
Adding more size options, improving charging capabilities, and possibly an FE budget-friendly option, the Galaxy Watch 7 lineup is turning out to be exciting.
Mark those calendars for that July Unpacked event, because if these leaks prove accurate, Samsung’s latest wrist-worn gadgets could be just around the corner !
