According to the report, the base Samsung Galaxy S23 model will cost Rs 79,999, which is Rs 99 more as the iPhone 14 price in India. The Galaxy S23 Plus, which will serve as the midrange model in the lineup, will start at Rs 89,999, while the Galaxy S23 Ultra, the top variant in the lineup, will reportedly start at Rs 1,14,999.

In comparison, the 2022 flagship lineup saw the Galaxy S22 priced at Rs 72,999, the S22 Plus cost Rs 84,999, and the Galaxy S22 Ultra cost Rs 1,09,999.
This brings a mark-up of Rs 5,000-7,000 on the prices of Samsung’s flagship smartphone lineup in India.

To be sure, the reported price hike will come amid a phase of dip in consumer demand for smartphones in the market – according a report by Counterpoint published on Friday, January 27, the smartphone market in India contracted by 9 percent through last year, and could decline even further.

The European variant for the Samsung Galaxy S23 Plus 5G for the 8GB+256GB variant handset will launch at a starting price of EUR 1,209 (roughly Rs. 1,07,200).

Whereas in the European market, the same handset will be available for EUR 1,409 (roughly Rs. 1,25,000). However, there is no official information or announcement regarding its specifications or price details from the company.
