Samsung has launched a new M-series smartphone in India, the Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G. Positioned as an “all-in-one monster,” the device is aimed at a wide range of users including students, content creators, and working professionals who need a reliable and durable smartphone for everyday use.
The company says the new Galaxy M17e 5G focuses on offering a balance of performance, durability and design in the budget segment. Here are more details.
The Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G is priced starting at Rs 12,999 for the 4GB RAM and 128GB storage variant. It is available in two colour options, which are Vibe Violet and Blitz Blue.
The smartphone can be purchased via Amazon, Samsung’s official website, and select retail stores. As part of a limited-period sale, the device will be available online today between 12 PM and 2 PM.
As a launch offer, customers can avail a discount of Rs 1,250 on the device.
The Samsung Galaxy M17e 5G features a 6.7-inch HD+ Infinity-U LCD display with a resolution of 720 x 1600 pixels and a 120Hz refresh rate. It is powered by an octa-core MediaTek Dimensity 6300 6nm processor, which includes two Cortex-A76 cores clocked at 2.4GHz and six Cortex-A55 cores at 2GHz, along with an Arm Mali-G57 MC2 GPU.
The smartphone comes in multiple RAM configurations including 4GB, 6GB, and 8GB, paired with 128GB of internal storage. It also supports expandable storage up to 2TB via a microSD card and offers a hybrid dual SIM setup.
On the software side, the device runs on One UI 8.0 based on Android 16, delivering a modern user experience. For photography, the phone is equipped with a 50-megapixel primary camera with an f/1.8 aperture, along with a 2-megapixel depth sensor and LED flash. On the front, it houses an 8-megapixel camera for selfies and video calls.
Powering the device is a 6000mAh battery with support for 25W fast charging.
The Galaxy M17e 5G also includes a side-mounted fingerprint scanner for security. In terms of design, it measures 167 x 77 x 8.2mm and weighs 199 grams. Additional features include a 3.5mm audio jack and bottom-ported speakers. The device is rated IP54 for dust and water resistance.
Connectivity options on the phone include 5G (SA/NSA) with support for 12 bands, dual 4G VoLTE, Wi-Fi 802.11 ac (2.4GHz and 5GHz), Bluetooth 5.3, GPS with GLONASS, and a USB Type-C port.
