The Redmi Pad 2 is now available in multiple markets including the Philippines, UK, and Germany. It comes in two variants, the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage version is priced at PHP 10,499 (around ₹16,200), while the 8GB RAM + 256GB model is available for PHP 12,999 (about ₹19,300).
The tablet is offered in three colours, which include grey, light blue and silver.
As for the India launch, it will be available in the Indian market via Amazon, Flipkart, and Mi.com.
On the hardware front, the tablet features an 11-inch 2.5K LCD with a 90Hz refresh rate and 600 nits of peak brightness, an upgrade from the 10.61-inch screen on the first Redmi Pad.
It’s powered by the MediaTek Helio G100 Ultra chip, which is a step up from the earlier Helio G99, making it more capable when handling everyday tasks and casual games like Asphalt 9.

Audio also gets a boost with quad speakers, Dolby Atmos, and the return of the 3.5mm headphone jack, which was missing in the previous model. Powering the device is a 9,000mAh battery, an increase from the 8,000mAh unit on the original Redmi Pad.
It supports 18W charging, and there’s a chance that Xiaomi might include a 22.5W charger in the box.
The Redmi Pad 2 runs on Android 15 with HyperOS 2.0, offering a smoother and more modern interface, complete with handy features like Circle to Search. On the camera side, there’s a 5MP front camera, which is slightly downgraded from the previous 8MP, while the 8MP rear camera stays the same.
In terms of connectivity and usability, it supports 4G LTE, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, USB-C, microSD card expansion and even stylus input. All this makes the Redmi Pad 2 a solid all-rounder for students and casual users, going up against rivals like the Realme Pad 2 in the budget tablet segment.
