Apple has officially announced that its 37th annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC) will take place from June 8 to June 12, 2026. Similar to last year, WWDC 2026 will be primarily an online event and will be accessible to all developers at no cost. Here are all the details.
The conference will kick off with Apple’s keynote on June 8 at 10:00 a.m. Pacific Time. As always, the keynote is expected to be the highlight of the event, where Apple will unveil the next generation of its software platforms including iOS 27, iPadOS 27, macOS 27, tvOS 27, watchOS 27 and visionOS 27.

While the event remains largely virtual, Apple will host a special in-person experience for select developers and students on June 8 at the Apple Park campus in Cupertino, California. Attendees will have the opportunity to watch the keynote and State of the Union sessions, interact with Apple engineers, and explore the campus.
Eligible participants including Apple Developer Program members, Apple Entrepreneur Camp alumni, previous Swift Student Challenge winners, and Apple Developer Enterprise Program members can apply to attend. Apple will select attendees through a random lottery, with submissions open until 11:59 p.m. PT on March 30.
Additionally, Apple had already accepted entries for its Swift Student Challenge in February, and winners will be announced soon. Distinguished Winners will be invited to Cupertino for a special multi-day experience.
WWDC 2026 will include a wide range of online sessions and labs, allowing developers to explore new features and learn how to integrate them into their apps. The keynote and all sessions will be available via the Apple Developer app, Apple’s official website, and YouTube.
Apple is expected to share more details about the event through the Apple Developer app and website as the conference date approaches.
This year, Apple has specifically highlighted “AI advancements” as a key theme for WWDC 2026. In its announcement, the company said, “WWDC26 will spotlight incredible updates for Apple platforms, including AI advancements and exciting new software and developer tools.”
While Apple typically avoids revealing specifics ahead of time, the explicit mention of AI suggests a stronger focus on artificial intelligence this year. The company is expected to introduce major AI-driven improvements, particularly with iOS 27.
Reports indicate that Apple is working on significant upgrades including enhancements to Siri, although some previously delayed features could still arrive with earlier updates like iOS 26.5. Nonetheless, iOS 27 is expected to bring a broader set of AI capabilities across Apple’s ecosystem.
