Redmi has officially begun teasing the upcoming Redmi Note 15 5G in India. This signals that the global rollout of the Note 15 series is just around the corner. The lineup first debuted in China in August and a series of leaks and retailer listings over the past few weeks have suggested that the international launch is imminent.
Redmi India shared a short teaser video on X (formerly Twitter) confirming that the phone will feature a “108 Master Pixel Edition” with a 108MP main camera. While it remains unclear how this 108MP sensor differs from the Redmi Note 14’s 108MP unit, it’s evident that Redmi plans to position camera performance as the primary highlight of the Note 15 5G.
Based on earlier leaks, the global Redmi Note 15 5G is said to include a 6.83-inch FHD+ AMOLED display, the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, 8GB RAM, 256GB internal storage, an 8MP ultrawide camera, a 20MP front camera, and a 5,520mAh battery with 45W wired charging. This marks slight upgrades over its predecessor including a larger display, a bigger battery, and a new processor.
However, as with previous generations, there may be differences between the Chinese variant and the global one despite identical naming.
Xiaomi appears to be gearing up for a significantly expanded global launch this time. Multiple European retailer listings now confirm that five Redmi Note 15 models will be released internationally, which are as follows –
The newest listing comes from German retailer Sim.de, which has listed the Redmi Note 15 5G for €299 (~$350) in its 6GB + 128GB variant, complete with pre-order availability. The specifications match the model released in China, including the Snapdragon 6 Gen 3 chipset, a 6.77-inch 120Hz AMOLED screen, and a 108MP main camera inherited from the Redmi Note 14 5G.
There are, however, a few notable global-region modifications. The worldwide model includes a 5,520mAh battery instead of the larger unit seen in China and comes with IP65 water and dust resistance rather than IP68. It will ship with HyperOS 2, unlike the Chinese model which has already moved to HyperOS 3. Despite these changes, the device maintains a lightweight build at 178 grams.
Xiaomi typically schedules its global Note series launches for late Q1. But the early retailer sightings of both the Note 15 5G and Note 15 Pro 5G indicate that the international rollout may happen much sooner than expected.
